Fluorite

Fluorite deposits are available and mined Mekhtar area of Loralai district in Baluchistan. The fluorite occurs as veins and in dissemination along faults and fractures and are hosted by the lime stone. The fluorite mineralization is highly enriched particularly in low dip strata. The thickness of the vein ranges from few inches to 2 meter with sizeable lateral extension. The fluorite are found in pink, blue, light grey, green, light yellow colors. White to purple and translucent to transparent fluorite crystals of gem quality are also found. The estimated reserves is about 0.1 million tons. Chemical analysis shows CaF2 95 %, Caco3 3.2 % and SiO2 1.4 %. The company has obtained licenses over 3,000 acres. The exploratory tunnels in these areas are showing presence of high grade fluorite.
