Large deposits of nepheline syenite are found in KPK. Detail exploration has been conducted by the provincial Govt to explore these deposits. As results of detail study, millions of tones deposits has been estimated in the area with analyses ranges of Sio2 58-62%, Al2o3 20-23%, Fe203 1.5 to 3%, K2O 4.7 to 6.9 %, and Na2O 6.12 -10.68%. These rocks are rich in alkalies, alumina and thus used in ceramics and glass industries as replacement of feldspar. MDM has obtained 3 licenses for better grade nepheline syenite over 364 acres in the area.
